Orphans and Agriculture Project
Although conflict in South Sudan has forced over 2 million to refugee camps and hundreds of thousands internally displaced or under protection of United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), Nile Orphan Care is striving to retain and support children who lost parents during the crisis before and after South Sudan gained independence from Sudan. One crucial area after education that we need to put more emphasis on is agriculture program. South Sudan as one of breadbasket countries has a fertile soil of which anything planted in it can growth. Under Daalbaai, Nile Orphan Care agriculture sector, orphans are working hard to promote indigenous production to reduce dependency on international humanitarian aid relief. We pray that by 2021, Nile Orphan Care will rely less on the outside food assistance, instead, will produce enough food to feed children at its center(s). So, we ask you to help us make this program possible, thank you.
