April, 2020 – Praises: Orphanage Lease Extended
The rental agreement on our current facility ended on December 31, 2019. Because our new site was not yet ready, we begged the landlord to give us an extension. The extension was given but with conditions: (a) we must leave on December 31, 2020, (b) the rental fee was increased, and (c) we must repair the fence with iron sheets instead of bamboo. With no objection, we accepted all these conditions becuase we cannot find any premises that can accommodate our children. With your prayers, we can now remain in the premises until the end of December 2020.
It is true that God is our immediate help when we are in desperate situations.
On other side of the story, Coronavirus has now reached South Sudan and all institutions including places of gathering are closed till further notice. With that crisis, our school is subject to follow the guidelines (not conducting tranditional classes), but other activities are operating.
Interesting enough, our children who can’t wait to go to their future home, are now molding bricks for their orphanage. They Formed themselves into small groups and each with a goal to achieve.
I am so thankful that God has given us a generation who will change South Sudan one day. Therefore, our endeavor is not in vain; we are molding future leaders.
