Overwhelmed with gratitude
The board of Nile Orphan Care is overwhelmed with gratitude. We invite you to join us in offering up sacrifices of praise to our good Father. Come and see what our God has provided for us.
Our need was to move out of our currently rented facility and into the new location by December 2020. We received a substantial gift that will cover the cost of building ALL of the classrooms. Our founder, John Deng Ater, is headed to Juba even this week. He will supervise the construction of the classrooms. The progress will be posted on our site.
Our need was for a replenishment of food stores at the orphanage. The pandemic has disrupted travel and supply chains. Our partner, “Love the Hungry” has just shipped a container with food provisions. The same container includes a donation of school supplies that were mentioned in an earlier post.
Our children need sustainable local food sources. We received help from our partner: Teach To Transform. They will be sending one of their trainers to South Sudan on the 19th of October to conduct a one week advance Farming God’s Way training program. They will also set up a drift irrigation system at our site, among other things. This is one of the areas where we can invest our resources so that years to come, we can produce our local food to feed the children.
Mark Hogg, the CEO of WaterStep, donated to us one bleach-making machine.
Our administrative costs have had no financial coverage. We received a separate gift to cover a large portion of our administrative costs.
