2019 (April-November): Rev. Ater served on a mission trip to initiate important projects such as the Clean Water Initiative donated by Love the Hungry.

2018 (January-June): Rev. Ater served on a mission trip to South Sudan to volunteer his time for the benefit of orphaned children, including the purchasing of the land, etc.

2017 (February-May): Rev. Ater served on a mission trip to South Sudan to reestablish the orphanage program after Yei Center was evacuated, due the political crisis of 2016.

2016 (May): Dale Oelker, Executive Director of Love the Hungry and John Ater visited the Juba and Yei Orphanage Center to see the impact of humanitarian aid relief,  to assess the Clean Water Initiative and the construction of the Nutrition Center. Two months after this visit to South Sudan, another war broke out in Juba in, July 2016, which shortened the life of  some of the projects we were to start in Yei.

2014-2015 (December-January): Rev. Ater served on a love and care mission trip to Yei for the assessment of the Orphanage Center and Peace Initiative Conference in Juba.

2012 (May-Aug):  Rev. Ater served on a mission trip to South Sudan for a follow-up visit with the Orphans’ Scholarship Program in Juba.

2010-2011 (December-January): Rev. Ater served on a mission trip to Sudan before South Sudan split for Sudan and visited many towns to see the need for orphans and street children. This was the beginning of the orphans, street and abandoned children program.
