Retired- 3/3/2021 -HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Ways to get involved: sponsorship, construction, education, agriculture, volunteer
“How blessed is he who considers the helpless; The Lord will deliver him in a day of trouble. The Lord will protect him and keep him alive, and shall be called blessed upon the earth…” (Psalm 41:1-2)
Sponsorship
Children that came from difficult background such as ones that lost parent(s) due to war, HIV/AIDS, street, abandoned and, at-risk children, are our priority. As soon as you become part of our sponsorship team, we will send you welcoming packet containing information about the child/children you chose, including his/her life story, age and a photograph. Moreover, once a year, we will keep you up-to-date by sending you a new photo of your child and his/her academic report. Likewise, we encourage children/sponsors to write letters to each other once a year. Another way to get involved is to send your charitable donation to Nile Orphans Care. The organization will use your generous donation along with other donations to provide educational and other basic needs for children under our care.

Construction of Orphanage Home – Donations Link
Since its operation was interrupted in Yei due to a political crisis (2016) and moved to Juba (2017); Nile Orphan Care has and continues to conduct its activities in a rented property. But even though we are still running NOC’s activities in this property, the rental agreement expired on 12/31/2019 and now on a discretionary period which may not exceed 6 months of 2020. So we are inviting you to join us in this “love and care” fundraising drive for the construction of orphanage home.
As an organization, we took some key steps such as purchasing of the land, solar pump borehole, fence and toilets. And because of time factor, we have divided the construction of an orphanage into two phases:
Phase 1: (Complete) $ 6000 was raised to put up tents/temporary shelters at the site so that children can be moved there as soon as possible.
Phase 2: (Active) The construction of a permanent orphanage home for 914 disadvantaged children is at tentative amount $723,306.00 according to quotation from one of the best and cheapest construction companies in South Sudan. With the love and care that God has put in your hearts for these children, this noble project will be completed.

Inter-Ethnic Academy – Donations Link
(primary/Elementary and Secondary/High School): This is NOC’s education department which provides free, quality education to children within our care. We believe that the better way to change the lives of these children is to give them an education

Daalbaai: Agriculture Development – Donations Link
Daalbaai is a term in our native language which means “happiness is a result of the availability of food”: This is NOC’s agriculture sector with the mission to promote indigenous food production to reduce dependency on international humanitarian aid relief. The fertility of the land plus plenty of rain has convinced us that South Sudan can be one of the bread basket countries in the world. We pray that by 2021, Nile Orphan Care will rely less on the outside food assistance, instead, will produce enough food to feed children at its center(s).
“… A land flowing with milk and honey, the most beautiful of all lands” (Ezekiel 20:6)

VOLUNTEER
Since its founding, volunteers are vital part of our operation either at the headquarters (South Sudan) or in partnered countries (Australia, Canada, Kenya, Uganda, and USA) and each moment you spend in helping us to meet the need of these children counts as an act of compassion and can change their lives forever. So wherever you might be, we need your help in the areas such as Setting-up a fundraising event(s), help orphans find sponsorships, campaign or raise awareness, teaching, cooks, agriculture project, peace education and counseling, foster homes, etc.
