Vision

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Heb. 11:1).
Our core belief in this endeavor, just like other non-profit organizations, is not to create long term dependency for these children, but to fill-in as caretakers and give them what they deserve most to have in life (love and care) so that they will grow up to be self-reliant and competent adults in the future.
Nile Orphan Care (NOC), without ulterior motive, devotes itself to restore hope for orphaned, street, abandoned, and at-risk children in war-torn South Sudan—and beyond—by providing quality education (primary—secondary school) and care, along with other training skills in various fields.
Nile Orphans Care is a faith-based organization founded on the principles to restore hope for orphans in South Sudan through:
- Providing free quality education from primary through secondary school
- Providing nutritional meals for orphans with support through Love the Hungry
- Finding foster homes that help orphans get what they needed most in their lives: love and care
- Striving to promote indigenous food production to reduce dependency on international humanitarian aid. Daalbaai, Nile Orphan Care agriculture sector is established to serve this purpose
- Promoting diversity which will enhance peace, unity and reconciliation in South Sudan: Inter-Ethnic Academy was formed as an interlink to various communities in the country
- Improving the standard of living through the provision of clean water and sanitation with help through WaterStep and other NGOs
